Our vision for your children

Welcome to Benson Church of England Primary School. The School sits at the heart of the community, surrounded by beautiful Oxfordshire countryside. Our aim is to provide a rich, stimulating and enjoyable environment, where children can begin their learning journey and prepare for their adult life. As a community we are extremely proud of our school and our child centred ethos.

The school has high expectations and fosters a good learning atmosphere, where behaviour is excellent. Children are encouraged to learn within an environment, where Christian values are promoted. In our recent Ofsted it was stated that “pupils benefit from a rich and creative variety of subjects. This interests them and promotes their spiritual, moral and cultural development well”

We are committed to reviewing and improving our practice to ensure that every child achieves the best of their ability. We aim to provide an education that develops children’s academic talents but also provide opportunities where children can develop their creativity through the expressive arts. In addition we offer a wide variety of sporting activities, to enable children to pursue their interests or excel where they show particular talents.

Our Vision

Working Together – Valuing Everyone – Learning for Life

  • We have high expectations, encouraging everyone to achieve their best and reach their potential.
  • We promote independence, a love of learning and curiosity so we can flourish in school and in life.
  • We work together as a team, our Christian values help us to celebrate diversity and build resilience.
  • We recognise our responsibility to care for our local environment and the wider world.
  • We rise to challenges with self- belief and courage.
  • We nurture our school community, developing the wellbeing of every person.

The school enjoys close links with the local Parish Church of St Helen’s, RAF Benson and works closely with local groups and businesses. Our staff team are enthusiastic, offering a variety of expertise and experience. The School’s governors, are fully committed in their support of the School.

If you would like to visit the school please contact the office, where I would be pleased to welcome you and answer any further questions.
