Today we are going to be counting in fractions. Follow the link, watch the video and have a go at the questions on Summer Term, Week 1, Lesson 2.

WALT: Use subordinate conjunctions

Today we are going to look at the subordinate conjunctions if, when, because and that. These are subordinate conjunctions. Subordinate conjunctions are words we use to add what is called a dependant clause, a piece of information that adds something to a sentence but does not make sense by itself. Have a go at writing 8 sentences with if, when, because of that in the middle. For example, We are staying inside today because it is raining. If you get stuck, try and link it to our story ‘Owl Babies’.

Daily Poem

Snowball by Shel Silverstein

I made myself a snowball
As perfect as could be.
I thought I'd keep it as a pet
And let it sleep with me.
I made it some pajamas
And a pillow for its head.
Then last night it ran away,
But first it wet the bed.
