Literacy: Yesterday we read the story 'The Snail and The Whale'. The snail went to lots of different places near the sea. Sometimes it was sunny, sometimes it was cold and sometimes there was ice in the sea!
Have you ever been to the seaside? Talk about what you saw and what you did. If you have any pictures have a look at them to help you remember. Then draw a picture of you at the seaside.
If you haven't been to the seaside, or can't remember, have a look at the picture below and talk about what you would like to do. What would you wear? What would you take with you? Then draw a picture to show what you would like to do at the seaside.
Challenge: write some sentences about what you did at the seaside, or what you would like to do if you went.
It was sunny.
I went in the sea and it was cold.
I want to make a sandcastle. I will eat ice cream.
Maths: We are looking at spirals again! Make another spiral, then use your finger or a cotton bud to add a pattern to the spiral? Can you make a repeating pattern using 2 or 3 of your favourite colours. After that see how good you are at counting! Go to https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/early-years/ Click on Week 6, Day 2
