Share an amount between a group of 3 yourself and make sure this is an uneven share. Ask your child if they think you've shared correctly. They should say no and when they do ask them to correct you. They should gather up all of the objects you've shared and then share them equally themselves. Some children may sort it out without needing to gather, so see how they work first before giving them instruction. Repeat this 4 or 5 times with different numbers of items you're sharing but keep sharing into 3 groups the same.
Extra challenge: Try incorrectly sharing out a group that has an odd number in it.
Literacy: Draw or print a picture of your chosen minibeast. Label the different body parts e.g. legs, wings, antennae.
Challenge: Include more labels e.g. head, thorax, abdomen.
