In Maths this week, we have adding ten to a number and noticing that when we add ten to a number the tens digit changes and the ones digit stays the same.
Task 1: Complete the add ten space race activity. How quickly can you add 10 to the numbers?
When we add two numbers together we can add them in any order for example:
10 + 34 = 44
34 + 10 = 44
Task 2: Complete the additions by swapping the position of the numbers so that you are adding ten to the bigger number. In class we have been using the part-part-whole model to help us.
