Thursday 11th February

Reading
Today is our final reading lesson for the term so we will just be reading chapter 21. You can just read the chapter in your own book, watch the video of me reading the chapter to you (I have emailed it to an adult at home but if you don't have it, please ask them to email me and I'll send it over asap) or listen to me read while you read along too.

Literacy
Today, we’re going to write up our newspaper reports in our final draft. This is your best draft so you will need to use your best handwriting as because it's a newspaper report, you'll also need to set it out on the page like a newspaper report. If you're feeling unsure about how to do this, look at the example newspaper report I shared with you earlier this term to remind yourself what it will need to look like. This will be easier to do if you write on paper but you can also type up your newspaper report. Make sure you don't forget to add a picture too!
As always, I'd love to see your writing when you're finished so if you haven't sent it to me yet, please do.

Maths
In maths today, we're going to do something a little bit different. We'll be learning about Vedic Squares. Read through the Thursday Maths PDF below to find out more and how to do today's activity. You can find empty multiplication squares to print and write on below or draw them in your maths book.
RE
In RE today, we'll be looking at how some Jewish people dress. Watch the video here https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/class-clips-video/religious-studies-ks2-what-is-judaism/zfbhf4j and then read through the Thursday RE PDF below. Once you've done so, have a look at the pictures showing different items of Jewish dress and statements about them. Can you match them together? Your challenge for today is to answer the question: What is the same and what is different and Muslim and Jewish traditional dress?
