Wednesday 6th January
Good morning Hawthorn! Even though it was a very strange first day of term, I hope you had a great day yesterday.
Today, I will be emailing out an invite to our first video meeting which will happen tomorrow morning at 11:30. We'll be meeting so that we can all say hello to each other, share how we are and check that you're able to get onto the meeting before we start having daily meetings about your learning next week.
Below is today's home learning. It's also available on Google Classroom.
We're going to start our new literacy learning today- a persuasive leaflet. Read through the Wednesday Literacy PDF below to see what we're doing today and then use the Persuasive Leaflet Example PDF and Persuasive Techniques PDF.
In maths today, we'll be looking at numbers with up to three decimal places. Watch the video here https://vimeo.com/487196408 and then complete the sheet below. Once you've completed it, you can check your answers using the answer sheet. Don't worry if you can't complete all of the questions but try to finish the first page. You might find it helpful to use the place value chart on the PDF below or draw your own on a piece of paper. If you'd like a challenge, you can also find a challenge sheet below.
Today, we start our new science learning: classification. Read through the PDF below called Wednesday Science to explain our new science learning and see what we're doing today. You can also find the PDF called Vertebrate Characteristics below which you might need to help you today.
If you have any questions or if you'd like to share your learning with me, please do email it to firstname.lastname@example.org or contact me on Google Classroom.
Have a great day guys!
