PE Information

Cherry Class PE is on Mondays so children should come into school in PE kit every Monday.

Apple Class PE is on Thursdays so children should come into school in PE kit every Thursday.

Damson Class PE is on Mondays when the class go swimming.  Children should come into school in their PE kit every Monday, ideally with their swimming kit underneath and towels and goggles (if needed) in a separate bag.

Ukulele

Each of the three classes will have two terms worth of whole class ukulele teaching.  Terms 1&2 is Damson, Terms 3&4 is Cherry and Terms 5&6 is Apple.

Homework

Reading: Please read with your children regularly. We use the acronym VIPERS in school to cover different comprehension areas (Vocabulary, Inference, Prediction, Explain, Retrieval, Summarise). There are some example questions at the bottom of this page which may be helpful to use while discussing your child's reading.

Spellings: The Years 3 and 4 National Curriculum spelling list is below along with a breakdown of spelling rules the children are taught. We won't formally test these spellings each week but will monitor progress during our Spellings lessons, English lessons and through your child's writing.

Maths: Please regularly go onto Times Table Rockstars. Look out for any challenges that we might set. 

Topic: In certain terms, the children are set a homework project.
