We are thrilled to introduce a new member of our school community: Science Monkey! The children in Ash are trialling taking turns bringing Science Monkey home to explore the exciting world of science. If Science Monkey proves to be a hit, we plan to expand the program across the school so that all children will have the chance to engage in exciting science activities with it at home.

Science Monkey comes with a special diary where you and your child can record all the fun activities they do together. When it’s your child’s turn to host Science Monkey, we’d love for you to think of some science-related activities they could try. Encourage your child to document these experiences in the diary—photos of Science Monkey in action are always welcome!

Of course, you’re not limited to science experiments at home. You could take Science Monkey on adventures, such as nature spotting at the beach, fossil hunting, on nature walks, to a science museum, or even take it to a stargazing event or you could curl up on the sofa and watch a documentary or read a science book.

We look forward to hearing all about the science fun!
